The season has begun with a very congested ramp area as the
upgrade to the hard standing area continues. At the moment all ms
are to be parked in the RAYC car park and are to launch via the public
access ramp area (along with the many other users of the ramp).
Efficiency in rigging and in departing the ramp area will be a
requirement and strong wind conditions may make departure and arrivals
difficult. It is hoped that by the end of the year we will return
to our usual position on mid way along the ramp . The class is in a sound financial position and with subs being now due we will be well placed to continue the seasons activities. It is noted that as RAYC control the lease to the ramp area owners will be required to be members of the RAYC to park boats on the ramp. At the moment there are 3 Ms on the ramp (6, 45, and 46), a further 2 are expected to arrive this weekend (3 and 44) and at least 2 more in the coming weeks (4 and 9) The new owners of Mirage were at the last meeting and they expect to be racing with us in the new year.
