M Class Association Subscriptions 

Folks, subscriptions are due by November 11.  All M Class owners must be members of the M Class Association in order to receive any points or trophies during the racing season.  Although it is not compulsory for individual crew to be members of the M Class Association we encourage each skipper to ensure that each and every full time member of their sailing crew joins the association.  If your crew are going to sail for more than a couple of days they will, under the present format, get at least four races and we feel this should be the cut-off for joining the association and paying the sailing membership fee.

Membership fees form the basis of our survival and our current account suggests we need all the support we can get.  Importantly, membership enables the sailors voice to be heard in association meetings and gives the class greater depth, while bringing new ideas and providing a greater basis on which to move forward. 

Throughout the season we will endeavour to keep our website at www.mclassyachts.org.nz as up to date as possible with, schedules, events and race handicaps and results available for all to see.  We are aiming for as much participation as we can get from both our sailing and nonsailing members so the more of you who can update your contact details the better placed we will be to inform you.  Electronic communication is the way forward for us so, where possible, please include an email address on your application form.
